Dean Cira

Author | World Bank Group Program Leader for Sustainable Development

Dean has over 30 years of international experience with a focus on urban development, housing, and sustainability. He has held leading technical roles in the World Bank, including Global Lead for Housing and Urban Poverty and has led regional urban programs in Latin America, Africa, East Asia and Europe and Central Asia.

He is currently based in Mexico City, where he leads the Bank´s sustainable development teams working in Mexico and Colombia. Prior to joining the World Bank, Dean worked in both the private and public sectors in the housing field. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
