Jon Kher Kaw

Jon Kher Kaw is a senior urban specialist with the World Bank’s Sustainable Development Practice Group. He manages numerous country and city engagements, a large portfolio of investment operations, and advisory and analytical work in the Middle East and North Africa, and in the South Asia regions.

He is the author of several global reports, including most recently, “Vibrant Cities: On the Bedrock of Stability, Prosperity, and Sustainability” (2023). Prior to joining the World Bank, he held various key positions with the Singapore Government’s national planning authority.

He holds a master’s degree with a specialization in urbanization and real estate from Harvard University, and a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University.
