Dr. Elisa Liberatori Prati

Information Professional, Ph.D., World Bank Chief Archivist (2003-2023)

Elisa Liberatori Prati headed the Archives of the World Bank for over 20 years until her retirement in 2023. She served as the Chief Archivist and Director of the Knowledge & Information Services department.

She played a lead role in the conception and implementation of the opening to the public of the largest and oldest development archives.

Internally, she focused on access and ease of use of the institutional memory as complement to business intelligence in decision making. Elisa holds a Ph.D. in Italian Literature of the Renaissance from the University of California, Los Angeles. She lives in Washington, DC.
