Rodica Tomescu-Olariu

Rodica Tomescu-Olariu is an Operations Officer in the World Bank’s Global Practice for Urban, Resilience and Land. Her work currently focuses on running a multi-donor trust-funded partnership (MDTF) managed by the World Bank, contributing to enabling all men and women to achieve land tenure security.
Her operational work in West Africa focuses on the use of technology and innovative methods to enhance project implementation and supervision in view of formalizing and enhancing access to land for people and business as a priority and key to stability and development for the countries in the region.
Prior to this, Rodica was a part of the Knowledge Management team where she has been engaged, as a Community Manager, in establishing and developing multiple World Bank communities of practice. An Aspen Socrates alumna, Rodica speaks Romanian, English, French, Italian and Spanish. She holds an MA in international relations from George Washington University and joined the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program on “Leading Green Growth”.
